PowerPoint: A Micro Critique

PowerPoint diminishes regional accents, personal idiosyncrasies and charming quirks.  Decks don’t charm, people do.  But much like how TV newscasters adopt the same mannered vocal cadence in a misguided attempt to project professionalism,picture-2 PowerPoint slides possess a mannered visual tone that’s equally recognizable and equally unremarkable.  And unremarkability in advertising is a bad, bad thing.  Let’s go back to tablets and markers–after all, some of us can draw and not everybody can.  That’s remarkable…
